Boss LS-2 happy with fuzz?

I've been eyeing the LS-2 pretty hard—it seems like the perfect thing for what I've been needing, and so epically failed to do in buying (and subsequently selling) a fancy-ass switcher.

Simply put: I wanna run a couple of loops before my delay/mod/reverb so that I can easily switch back and forth between a more complex, dirty sound and a simpler clean sound with just a click or two.

The big question: I know Boss pedals are buffered, but does anybody know if the loops in the LS-2 are buffered as well? Just wondering if things like germanium fuzzes are happy in the loops. Anybody with exp in this dept, please hollerrrrrr

I've used my LS2 with a DOD250, an EHX Big Muff, Creation Labs Holy Fire, Deviever Ruiner and a DOD Carcosa.

None of those are germanium, but they all sound fine.

I have no idea if the loops are buffered or not. You tell me how I can figure that out, and i'll check.

The only thing you have to remember is that there's no way to control phase of hte loops, so i fyou have a pedal that inverts phase and then mix it back in, you'll have out of phase sound. I learne this when I tried to put a bassballs into a loop.

Yeah, I noticed when I had my switcher that the germ fuzzes really did hate the buffers—Fuzz Face, Gray Channel. The fuzz sounded more flattened out/less nuanced, and pretty much all guitar vol knob shades of goodness were gone.

The great thing about the Mastermind was that it had three buffers that I could turn on and off, but alas that thing was just overkill.

If you or anyone else out there has any finicky fuzzes, I'd love to hear how you think they sound plugged into the LS2.

There's definately a bit of tone suck when I have the LS2 bypassed entirely, but when it's engaged I don't notice anything or even really a difference with any of the pedals I tried in a loop. Sorry it's the best I can offer you.

Yep, it is awesome kit.
Yep, it is buffered.
Yep, it fucks with any impedance sensitive fuzz.
