I wish Yamaha would box that 8 operator fm synth in the Montage into a dedicated FM Synth box ...

These are great! Wish I owned one... keyboards take up too much space, or else I would own a few. Personally I've always coveted that Yamaha FM rack synth the fs1r. Most YouTube vids of the fs1r are full of bonkers cheese, but then you hear a patch that drops your jaw to the floor.

Dude, I feel like a ZERO. I failed to do a nice craigslist check over the last few weeks until 3 days ago. I saw a TX7 for $100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was mine. The post was 4 days old. Too late! It got picked up! I could have had a small module DX7 for my collection Ships passing in the night I guess ...

I had an FS1R for a long time. I really regret letting that go. Amazing range of sounds.

Q: What can't the DX7 do?

A: Be easily programmable.
