What are some good music books out there? Here are some that I like:

I really love How Music Works by David Byrne. Very interesting discussion of a lot of different aspects of music.

I got this when I was a kid. Great book. Cute diagrams. It started me down the dark path.

The Zorn Arcana stuff. Also not necessarily instructional (well, maybe), but Please Kill Me usually gets me thinking :)*

This is probably the 2nd guitar book I ever bought ... when I was a kid I would fanticize about owning all this different types of guitars in it - I would also pick up buyer' guides and drool over the jacksons
