I've had those on my wishlist at one time or another - interesting stuff

I really love How Music Works by David Byrne. Very interesting discussion of a lot of different aspects of music.

The Zorn Arcana stuff. Also not necessarily instructional (well, maybe), but Please Kill Me usually gets me thinking

This is probably the 2nd guitar book I ever bought ... when I was a kid I would fanticize about owning all this different types of guitars in it - I would also pick up buyer' guides and drool over the jacksons
