Show hook up thread!

Devi, you should make this a sticky. A thread for everyone with a band to post where they live, where they are going (touring wise) , if they are looking for a show in a particular city.....etc. My band, The Rainy Saturdays, is based out of Memphis, but we have some connections in Dallas and some in Nashville. If anyone is looking for shows in these areas hit me up at myspace.com/rainysaturdays

Yeah I posted about something like this a while a go. It would be cool to get an Underground Devi Railroad going...uh
. Anyway, I'm down for the Northeast connection. I'm trying to hook up with Jrmy in RI right now. But I'd love to play with other groups in my hometown of Burlington, VT. There's a small experimental scene and a bigger indie rock scene with two particular venues. I'm pretty familiar with the booking agents at each as well. My group's kinda a noisier space rock band, and we're definitely trying to get around. Let's make shit happen.

Well we (saturdays) are definitely in to exchanging shows , and memphis is a pretty good stop for anyone one heading down to New Orleans or Texas by way of up north or vice versa, and we are making an attempt to get out of town more often. The Saturdays also have a venue that we can book shows any time with no hassle, so we can even handled a short notice if anyone is coming through.

We played out at the springwater not too long ago, I don't think I could have got you in though, the venue was pretty shitty about the 21 and up thing, my girlfriend came with us and they wouldn't let her in cause she was only 20, even after we explained that we came all the way from memphis to play. We trying to arrange some more shows out there soon though.

I like this thread idea! I go to school in upstate NY (~30 min north of Albany) so if you're ever coming through that area and want a show, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do! Should warn though, could be anything from a small house party to an actual gig...not to say small house parties aren't actual gigs, but you know what I mean...

I used to have a girl friend in Sarasota Springs.
Drove all the way up there from DC a few times.

If you want someone to rock with, we'd make the trip. Although, I don't know if we play the best

completely different sound, but maybe try talking to technoir MA. They always play around somerville and have a small/decent following. They're kind of dancy/new wave/new order sounding so I don't know if that would mix with your group, but give it a try!
