So I just got an iPad 2 from space6oy, because he's awesome, and I wanted some suggestions on music making apps. So far I've been using, Orbita, Synchronicity, and Nanoloop. What else should I get?

Allow this slight thread bump for me to ask if anyone has tried or is using an audio looping app that really impresses you. I'm interested in atmospherics, drones, evolving textures, etc., not the singer/songwriterly, fake-a-drum-and-bass-track-to-play-over thing. I think I know what's out there (though I'd welcome left-field suggestions), but I'd really like to read some first-hand opinions on depth, control flexibility, and efficient live operation. Thanks.

So long delay Riley/Fripp stuff?
Dunno if the app is out there, but in hardware land you want a super-long delay (dead minimum 2seconds, longer usually being much better) with feedback/regeneration, possible delay-time modulation, and for the most fun you want to be able to stick things in the delay feedback loop.
IIRC, Retronyms' LooPerverse app, broadly the wrong approach for this game, has at least added a feedback loop effects capability. So better than most loop apps on that one point.

You only need iOS 7.0 to run this. As far as matrix synths go, it's much easier to use than something like the Tenori app.

Waldorf's Nave is quite deep, but not as immediate or as fun as something like Animoog. If you like cold, digital synthesis, or slow-evolving Waldorf pads, it's a good tool to have.
