Anyone use them? I enjoy making up my own. Right now I'm using DADADF# on my jagmaster. :thumb: Anyone want to tell us about some crazy fun ones?

E standard in my band. They don't really like experimenting :idk:

Right now at home my bass is tuned to C standard for some doomy/sludgyness.

I really do.

But we play thrash metal, a genre where's there's little to no room for improvement/creativity. Every riff we play sound straight out of the 80's, but in a way that's not a good thing. It's just a dead genre. But then again; I have loads of fun during rehearsals and live shows and I'm learning alot by playing in a band.

I've found a guitar player who's into the same kinds of music as me, and we even share the same views on society. It's probably going to be a 3-piece band based on improvisation and with no limitations of genres. But it's incredibly difficult to find a drummer in this place.

For my band (bass), my 4-string is always in C-G-C-G, and my 5-string is usually tuned to A-D-A-D-A. I always love tuning the top string in 5ths instead of 4ths, you get some cool chords that way.

As for guitar, which is usually just jamming around, I have fallen in love with the Placebo tuning, which is F A# D# G# C C. The top two strings being tuned in unison can get some great drones when you're not playing them in a double-stop. Sounds almost like a ring mod when you play a riff on one of them and leave the other open.

I really like it going one semitone down on the first string (the thin one), it makes some kind of dissonant sound. sweet ^__^

I really like low to high: E-B-E-F#-B-E and E-B-D-A-B-E

I'd love to experiment more, but I hate slowing down shows by repeatedly tuning my guitar and I only bring two guitars to school, so :idk:

My main tuning is Eb. Recently I've toyed with the "Muzzle" tuning. you just tune your B string down a whole step so Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Ab-eb. It makes for the prettiest of chords...
