been liking the options on this ehx blurst that just got announced and looks like it could cover all of the microsynth's filter territory possibly and then some
seems more fitted for synth stuff than their other wah filter with other options, forget the name...

would this and a more robust analog octaver be more usable?
I want to love the microsynth, but it's big, finnicky and expensive...
who loves to do weird stuff with filters out there?

I do, but I haven't bought a new one in years - I found what I liked in the venerable ME-6B's filter section, and have never found a replacement for same.

Have you looked into the Dwarfcraft Gears? I've owned a few of the big box MS units (1 bass, 2 guitar editions), and find them quite limiting. I like the MS a lot with phasers and tremolo---you can do some interesting sweeps and rhythmic synth stuff. You might also consider the Source Audio Stingray. It covers a variety of envelope/filter settings.

Ok cool I'll check these options out. Might have a vintage bass microsynth from Ron ripper that i modded in bst soon
It's more of a studio or collector pedal i dunno
What do you think of this blurst? I think there's potential. And it's not crazy expensive

I'd much rather have a Microsynth than the Blurst thing.
Not hearing anything in the Blurst I really want - it's like an old chewy phaser with sweeps that don't speak to me.

been talkin bout filters for a good few weeks now, on the look out too,
...that dude in the video hah, great sound...I have a subdecay prometheus im tryin to sell, totally different than this, but turns a simple oscillator/synth into somthing more interesting...one of the things i love about it is it sweeps really long and slow...&doesnt sound like a phaser.

^ this. Blurst totally lacks character to my ears. Plus a second hand microsynth xo is about the same as a new Blurst? Adding octave up / down and fuzz to that takes it way beyond in price I would've thought.

You guys are way off. You're supposed to get it cause it's pink, not cause it sounds good. Pff.

It only works that way for me if it's a purple pedal.

Even if purple, it's EHX and doesn't sound good enough to warrant space in my already crowded world!

You can has my share.
Only thing of theirs I've ever loved is the Frequency Analyzer, the rest...I've had too many die on me or just didn't like the sound.

yeah I guess just the options had me not exactly the sound
from a processing angle. probably would be cool in the fx loop of my bsm? but I do need to get a cool oscillator in there.
I'll check the subdecay... into trades?
also been wanting a more tuba-esque sound. have to experiment more.
but that bassy eerie tim burton science fiction horror ambience
almost have it and von till does something similar with the microsynth.
makes my short hairs erect.

Truth be told, I have not heard that Blurst yet. But I am pretty proud that our wobblin filter came out before it, and I still love it.

No envelope detection/generation, but that's why god invented expression pedals.
*edit*
Ok I watched the video. It's what I expected, but with tap tempo.
