Damn, Steven Spielberg used Super 8s when he was kid to make home movies ... Kodak is re-releasing them:

I'm not a vinyl guy (I "get it") but I really love film and want this! 24p film always looked better to me than HD FOR MOVIES ... no price yet for the production version ...

Huh, I think I have a complete Bell and Howell movie camera and projector set in a closet I've been meaning to throw out.. maybe I should sell it after all.

damn. i'm really into this. gonna have to unload some gear to make the purchase, when it comes out.
i hope the digital film scans they promise are of excellent quality and not like this one company that promised the same but delivered the goods on a "ready to play" cd-r.

I went to the Kodak super 8 YouTube page and saw an Austin fx vid ... you could easily trick someone into thinking it was a 60s/70s vid .. looked like the final minutes of Slackers ...

I just unloaded my entire camera collection this summer, but this thing looks pretty cool
I think I had an older version of it floating around like a handheld brownie or something

Latest rumors on pricing are $2k for the first run and current processing/transfer costs are like $80/roll.
I miss darkroom work but I don't miss the current cost of still film (and the nightmare of scanning).
