I'll be honest, I was hoping for something with a slightly smaller form factor. Jack placement is also a bit unfortunate. Sounds cool, but I I'm not sure there's room for this and the Dream Sequence in my life.

Woah. Can't wait to hear more clips of this..... it seems like it could be right up my alley!

No volume control, so might have the same weird, something-isn't-quite-right problems as the DS. Sounds great in the clip.

Very hip reference

Haven't heard thr clips yet, but as mentioned, lack of volume knob is worrisome.

I believe it's a reference to the book "Infinite Jest" by the late David Foster Wallace

Isn't it the "Alas poor Yorick"-line from Hamlet?

Edit: Oh, guess I'm not hip either, then.

It's just known (at least around the literary students I've hung with) to be a little "oh, look at me reading the difficult and humongous IJ, with its vast array of words and footnotes with footnotes". That's all. Hip might not be the right word. Pompous?

I guess you could use that word too.
NSFW: show
This is me being pompous :)*

Mixed w Eno :D

I dunno though, the volume knob issue is a real stinker. Plus as others have said, some kind of MIDI would be nice. But hey, could be rad.

Also, Infinite Jest is one of those books that everybody likes to say they've bravely tackled, but they've really only read Consider the Lobster.

yeah. probably the ulysses of our generation or something. i know it was way too much for me at the moment.
wouldn't say it's pretentious even if pretentious people try to impress people with it. i'd describe it more like too complex to be enjoyed by most. which i think might be an accurate description of hologram's stuff and why i found it to be a funny name.

still interested in it even though it doesn't have midi. someone was selling a used dream sequence locally so i'm kinda hoping that some of these units make their way near me at some point.
