Someone in Toronto want to buy a guitar from me, I'm in Quebec City.
I have an add on kijiji (similar to craiglist).
He want to pay with e-transfer (no paypal, no reverb protection).

May I run into some problem?

yeah.

My experience with Craigslist has been that everyone who contacts you and wants to do anything but cash in person is trying to rip you off.

usually any of those e-transfer things are scams. especially when it's from someone not local.

Google e-transfer scam and you get a lot of Canadian stories. Must be a thing there. Here's one http://www.ctvnews.ca/business/e-transf ... -1.2470032

Yeah but if you already know someone is a scammer then don't try to get them to deal straight, just move on. The more you deal with them, the more ways they'll find to get you. Tricksy.

Who uses wire transfers for this kind of thing anyway. No-one. Or e-transfers, whatever that is.

yep only scamming pieces of shit try this. mother fuckers always trying to send me money orders with like an extra couple hundred bucks for a sub $100 pedal. one time I told a slimer that I cashed it and was going to keep it all, he responded with an ominous "you'll be hearing from real soon". got him to waste $15 sending bogus money orders.. I felt like a winner

this is genius. I'd love one for lowballers that would just reply with a higher price than the original asking price

That sounds like the Internet version of "ill mail you a check plus extra and then you mail me the item" that people are running in the Austin craigslist lately.

The guy also offer to take a plane from Toronto to Quebec City... so I could deliver him the guitar to the airport.
He said his son work at Porter and that he have deals on plane ticket. Payment trgouge e-transfer.

This really sound like scan.

Tell him you already shipped it via pedicab and demand payment or else
