2017 is the years of change...

I might change guitar and amp...

For the amp, I'm looking for something to play at home (appartment) without annoying the neighbours.
Most band I like use Fender Blackface type amp. I want something with deep bass and clear at the same time (no arsh treble) and very clean. No need for a dirt channel.

Some suggestions I had outside of the forum:
-Vintage Sound - Vintage 15, 15 Watt Combo 1 X 12 (might have to use an attenuator)

The only small amps I personally owned that were one channel & clean: Fender Pro Jr and Fender deluxe reverb reissue. One is awesome, loud and clean, and doesn't have the typical blackface voicing, the other one's probably way too loud for the average appartement. I've got a Tiny Terror combo these days. Love it to bits, the drive channel's more than decent for a home/practice amp, and it takes pedals just fine...But clean it sounds absolutely aweful
Had a Vox AC15C2 for a while too. Loud, not the sort of low end output I (and you I'm guessing) wanted, and also not very blackface fender-y.

My only real advice, whatever amp you end up with: Avoid attenuators like the fucking plague. When I fried my 'ultimate attenuator' (and nearly killed my precious amp at the same time) while using it at VERY mild attenuation settings, I took it to my amp tech (dude's a fucking wizard, knows his shit)...

Long story short: He convinced me that in one way or another all attenuators either hurt your amp to some degree, or they've got an extremely short life span, or they ruin the tone of the amp you spend a small fortune on. Or a combination of all the above. He had a shop full of broken attenuators and amps that got damaged because of attenuators to prove it.

On top of that, with all the low wattage amps out there and the option to go for an affordable and safe half or 1/4 power mod, it makes no sense at all to haul another piece of harware around to do the same job, only a lot worse

-Tone King Falcon (but seems too dirty)

What I'm looking for:
Clean (very clean), deep bass, perform well at low volume, reverb and trem would be cool. No need for breakup sound or drive there

I'd go for a Deluxe Reverb if you only want to play clean. It's big enough to play loud (without a ton of headroom), but small enough to get a nice clean sound at moderate levels. Otherwise, how about a silver face Princeton Reverb?

I had an Ampeg Reverberocket 2 that was a nice clean machine (if played quietly) with stellar reverb and trem.

Since you seem interested in some newer boutique amps, a Carr Skylark might be your thing, or an Allen Amps Chihuahua. Both of them are low-wattage takes on the Fender thing that are fuller and more powerful than a champ.

I'd go for a Deluxe Reverb if you only want to play clean. It's big enough to play loud (without a ton of headroom), but small enough to get a nice clean sound at moderate levels. Otherwise, how about a silver face Princeton Reverb?

I'm just scared that they might sound dull at low volume... 15 - 20 watt is still quite loud for a tube amp.

I don't know about a deluxe reverb being real useable in an appartement btw. There's not much fun to be had with the volume control at '1' imo, you want to turn it up a little bit more...At which point your neighbours start banging against the walls/ceilings

That's one of the things that steered me towards the tiny terror, it's got the 15/7 watt switch. And even at 7 watt, it's not like I can put the volume halfway or anything when I'm at home. Shouldn't cost a whole lot to mod the Princeton Reverb like that, right?

Talking of Princetone Reverb.

Tone Kings can indeed be harsh. I really liked the Meteor II but that's the only one I've particularly enjoyed... others not so much.

I second the idea of a Deluxe, but IMO the reissues aren't where you wanna look (open em up and it's like a fucking computer inside). I'd consider a company that makes an original spec clone, like Headstrong. I've been really impressed with their Deluxe.
