I found this on instagram, the demo sounded great, the pedal looks great and it was a good price. It was really well packaged and came with a canvas bag, some awesome big stickers and a pin badge!

I compared it with my Catalinbread pre-Moseley branding version and it's much less full-on in terms of distortion, with less volume on tap but it's a fuller and more refined sound. The Cbread just gets less compressed when you back off the guitars volume knob but the TT has excellent cleanup. It's like amp-like overdrive through to 60s surf buzz. The tone switch is interesting, it's heavier and louder but I wouldn't say it's much more distorted than the normal setting.

I know a 2-knob 60s style fuzz isn't exactly fashionable around here, but I thought people would like to hear about a company with great communication, solid pedals and cool stickers. I'll try and get a picture of the stickers because they really are great.

I've never heard a Fuzzrite described as "refined". :idk:

It's all relative and the kind of gritty-but-not-fuzzy sound I can get with the Psych Rite versus the (benchmark) CB which does the balls-out thing and then just gets a bit less compressed as you roll the volume back. It's also just straight up less gainy and fuzzy than the CB, which you could call "refinement", I guess? :idk: Point is, sounds great and it's kicked the CB straight off my board.

I wish it had a battery option coz I could totally make do with just this and nothing else, certainly for rehearsals. I guess 9v adaptors aren't too heavy, I just have never found one that wasn't noisy and/or didn't die.
