For $10 AUD (about $7US, €7), you can support a multi-purpose charity based out of Australia, and in the process have a chance to win a pedal. This is running through December 31st.

All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to Gifts of Compassion, an initiative of Compassion Australia. The more money we can raise the more funds can be spread across gifts for those in poverty stricken nations to supply things like the following:

$30 Children Vaccination
$40 Baby Essentials Kit
$45 A goat for a family
$60 Textbooks
$75 Clean water
$90 Pregnancy Care
$275 A Cow to a family
$550 Vocational Training (trade qualification, Diploma in IT, commerce graduation etc)
$1000 Business Startup
$4500 Rebuilding a home

Oh man, are you one of those people born too close to Christmas, therefore you get less present coverage?

It could be worse. You could share a birthday with a famous terrorist attack, and then you'd really feel lonely and overlooked on your anniversary of womb escape.
