I feel like the Meteore gets mentioned a lot as an RM alike but I've never played one.

The EHX Holiest Grail and the DigiTech PDS 3000 both allow the reverb input to be overdriven, which makes for nice and dirty decays. Not unlike the Rm-1n in that regard, but with different sonic character/pedal functionality.
Also not cheap or easy to find, mind you. But the sounds are beautiful. Think Sunshine + Gasoline by GYBE.
As for cheap & dirty, why not try overdriving a spring reverb? Glory comes from there, too.

I flipped my meteore a long time ago so I might be off here, but I think it is pretty bright and I wouldn't qualify it as real dirty ass or anything. The more you increase the space knob or whatever it is (the one that makes it unique) the more bright and metallic it got. This can make it really cool or really not work at all, depending on what you're doing. Some days it was all I would use, other days it just didn't work at all.

Agreed with Petee. I didn't find the Meteore to be particularly dirty. Seemed really metallic, then they threw in the overdrive component to make up for it, and it just winds up sounding harsh. That is probably what they were going for, though, in building it to sound like a subway station.
Also: RV-3?

The digitetch digiverb has reverse and a super heavy drip. Not dirty, but def cheap. And the reverse is worth the $60 alone.
Also bitquest
The screaminfx uverbia is pretty clean, but I should
Try my synth stuff thru it.

Midiverb 2. Nasty, grimy, 15s verb that is the definition of low-fi.

Recovery FX Endless Summer seems pretty rad.
