Weird true bypass looper request

I think I should be posting this here?

Looking for somebody that'd be willing to build a weirdo true bypass looper for my tabletop setup. Specifically looking for three to four channels, each one with a volume knob built into the input (the thought is to have separate loops contain hunks of sounds - delays in one loop, modulation in the other, dirt in a third, etc - and be able to fade them in/out of ultimately a wall of ambient bliss).

Is this weird/dumb/is there a way to do it better? Can someone make it for me if I trade you USD's for it?

Just to clarify what you're looking for, you want three "true-bypass" loops (although it sounds like you don't need switches), each being sent your dry signal, and you want to be able to mix the output of each of the three loops together? Or do you want the loops to be sequential?

May I recommend faders for easier one hand operation.

The loops would be sequential - specifically mod -> dirt -> delays. That way stuff like a quick fade in/out blast of heavy fuzz can trail off into the delays, etc.

Love this

That sounds very doable. Do you want the volume control to be at the input, or output of the effects?

Sick! Input probably - trails for delays, might throw loopers at the end of each loop, etc

To be clear, I'm not building this for you, too much on my plate at the moment. But this sounds like a simple build, try messaging someone in the Shark Tank or under the builders section.

You can't really do true bypass and have trails, that would mean you aren't bypassing the effect.

I get that you want them sequential, but do you want the output of each loop to be sent to the main output? For example, do you want the output of your fuzz loop to go only to your delays, or to the main output in addition to your delays?

Also, do you want mute switches, or just knobs/faders? Do you want it buffered? What size box were you thinking? Do you want any paint or artwork?

I could probably built you something if you want simple functionality, but if you want something more ornate there are better builders out there who can do it.

I think you need 3 of my 1 knob blenders with no footswitches. there is a phase 180 switch that I definitely think you need to keep it from noise canceling (volume drop) when the signals are crossfading. I found a crazy ebay deal on these sweet faders till they are sold out. just wire one side of the fader leave the other 3 lugs out.

That right there is a good solution. You still won't have tails, but you could fade things out smoothly.

how the hell do u drill enclosures for faders like that? serious question (sorry for the hijack)

Get acquainted with a machinist or your local machine shop. Getting channels cut via CNC is the way to go, but they can also be cut manually on a mill.

That's the correct way. But if you're stubborn like me and don't need super precise results, drill a small channel on a template, then use a small file to make it smooth.

This seems cool but I know basically zip about making stuff aside from building a few oscillator drones in a class a few years ago.

Thru various responses I'm realizing that I'm looking for something I guess different from a bypass looper -
Ultimately what I want is kinda a series of signal splitters with volume knobs on the fronts of half of em, with the rest running thru each other...kinda.

Like, I want the dirt to be able to go into the mod section and into the delay section, but also be able to just have the dirt go into the delay section, but like with a fader to adjust the amount of dirt/modulation. So like ideally, if all three sections are faded down, a clean signal would come through.

Yeah?
