Seriously. Always wanted a good 335 type guitar again, and now I'm tempted to completely forget about all my pedal GAS and finally DO IT.
One thing I'm missing that'll push me over the edge though: I need an example of a semi-hollow tuned to C or even B (standard), with heavy gauge strings.
Bands, yt clips, even just an opinion or two?
The bands that inspire me to tune that low, all play les pauls and sg's, or similar style guitars

I had a Hagstrom Viking Baritone as my main guitar for 2.5 years, untill some asshole broke into our van and stole it.
But I loved that guitar. I added a bigsby and swapped out the pickups, but the guitar itself was awesome. Need to get another one.
Used it for rock, noise, doom, ambientydronethings. Beautiful feedback.

I have the same feelings for a 335 type guitar, someone here put black winters into an Epiphone Sheraton tuned to c and it sounds great. Josh Homme uses a lot of semi hollow guitars in QOTSA.

I used to rock an Agile AS-2000 727 (7-string 27" scale ES-type jazz guitar) and almost regret selling it. It worked equally well for doom, other heaviness, and more shoegazey moments, but was far too noisy with my former amp modeling rig.

I've been curious about the Ibanez semi hollows for this as well.
They have the same neck as my Iceman and I know it's reliable at low timings.

That EB-6 is prime for a re-issuing!!
Fuck those robot un-reversed firebird abominations!
Gibson, if there is anyone there left with a soul, please re-issue this guitar

One thing I've always wanted.
This is the Eastwood version, though.
The original one with the weird tele-ish bridge and black pickguard is beyond sexy, though.

I have an Epi Sheraton II that I put on a set of 12-54 and tune down to C no problem. just takes a bit of re-setup.

So what does the re-setup involve exactly? No messing with the neck relief, just maybe filing out the nut a bit and adjusting the action&intonation...?
