you've had your gear hanging around plugged in for a week or two and you bend down, and find its all covered in cat hair, dust, strange specks, and fiber from your socks. You then whip out your trusty little micro cloth and start running it over your gear and blowing until light headed and sweaty..you carefully check each cable for microscopic anomalies and go as far as to wipe each over and inspect it under an led before inserting it into your pedal....at least this is what i do, telling myself its just stuff its just bullshit toys calm down... then i jam...

Nah my pedals are filthy I almost never clean them.

My pedals are usually dirty. Maybe I remove some hair/feathers(I have a budgie one the loose in my living room). Only cleaning if I'm selling it.

Btw: DUST & RITUALS would make a rad band name!

...hmm one time i went to sell some crappy old ring mod to guitar center for a quick buck and the guy didnt seem to know what it was, plugged it in and did some kinda stevie ray vaughan queer ass hold the note blues show off air guitar riff and all was heard was "wonk durp ding gurr" and confused the shit outa him, he walked off and came back 30 minutes later just to give me a low ball price...idk just thought of this and have no one to tell it to ....

I'll say this. Some you motherfuckers are nasty. I say clean your pedals if they are dirty. Dust isn't a biggie, but if they are gross, fucking clean that shit. I've gotten pedals in trades here that I'd be down right ashamed to ship to someone. I mean, do whatever you want, but it makes me think you're a disgusting human being.
