Sockgaze.

I think I've finally defined the genre of music I make. It's kinda like shoegaze. But in the comfort of my own home. So shoeless. And what's under my shoes? Socks. Sockgaze. This is it.
This is a manifesto. Stomping but with padding for the toes. Because drowning sound in reverb should always be about comfort.
Let's discuss our favorite socks. Because socks are gear when it comes to sockgazing. And ILF is all about gear. So all of this is perfectly grounded in facts and logical.

Why not slippers, friend?

Because a lot less of variation in prints and patterns that heavily contribute to the sock gazing experience, you silly
Also slippers are lame. It's another amendment in need to make to perfect the manifesto.

Thin socks for better stomp switch response and easy knob tweaking.
Slippers are for people living on the beach or in trailers...or in America.

I prefer to wear argyle socks all the time. They are lighter and let my feet breathe.

You don't know what you're missing. I like slippers. They keep my feet warm in the winter, which allows for greater toe dexterity - which is invaluable.

You would achieve the same result with thicker socks, which would make your toe dexterity even better because they could move separately.
Sockgaze wins. Again.

Doesn't adjust to the length of your toes. Silly gazing footwear.

My favorite socks:
Stance & Happy Socks
Well actually those are the only fancy ones I really know, because I own several.
Not really that much of a fashion/shopping person, but Stance socks are hard to resist.
Whaddayaknow: wearing some right now!

Is that what those ones on snapchat were? They were tight, I meant to ask but forgot. I have a mix of many types of socks, but not enough so need to buy more. Got to have some nice patterns and be colourful or no point for me. Plain socks are so dull.
