Ok who fucked up (Gnod content)

Someone on this board knew about Gnod, and somehow I just gave them a listen for the first time today (because they're artist in residence at Roadburn this year so I decided to give 'em a listen).
This band is fucking awesome, and no one told me? I searched ILF but all it got me was a rec from retinalorbita(RIP) that I failed to follow up on back in 2011 and a search for their fuzz from the man, the myth, the denimjacketedduder with great taste adrianlee.
Wikipedia says they're an English Krautrock band. Most bandcamp comments say they sound like early Swans, but I'm hearing some Stars of the Lid in some of their jams and some Oneida, too.
So far I have dug today:
https://gnod.bandcamp.com/album/infinity-machines
https://gnod.bandcamp.com/album/mirror
https://gnod.bandcamp.com/album/dropout ... e-hills-ii
Anyway this band is fucking awesome (reprise) and you should stop listening to whatever garbage you have on now and check them out.

One of them play bass for Norwegian noise rockers Arabrot, so I was aware that there was a band called Gnod, but still haven't checked them out.
But I will now!

I don't know if I should really like this or be off-put.. It's like they did a focus group on sounds I would like..

Seen them a couple of times. Each tour tends to be completely different, i've seen krautrock and noise, and the last show i saw was really reminiscent of Celestial era Isis - all big guitars and bass slow jams screaming with some batshit electronics on top. Definitely one of the best bands in the UK right now.

Yeah that's the thing, diving into their discog is precisely like what Mudfuzz was saying: a focus group for sounds I (and we, it seems like) enjoy.
Very hyped to see them in the not so recent future, fingers crossed.

Wait! Somebody else besides me mentions Arabrot around here!? That's great! Watched the "Cocks and crosses" documentary on Friday, it was really good.

I know them well. Played a few gigs with them and they use a few of my pedals. Latest record Mirror is probably my favourite thing they've done but also love the two Chaudelande records and everything else they've done.
Alex that tours on bass in Arabrot is doing modular synth with Gnod these days (used to drum).
