.. and I kiss him on the forehead at least twice a day. How could you not?

Here's a photo from when his best bud, Wrex, was a puppy. Nugget would let Wrex dominate him all the time, even though Wrex was 1/5 his size.

He's the best damn dog ever. And that's my whole damn story.

Aw, I'm sorry MM. If Maryland weren't so far away, I'd say you could come over and play with mine.

Ha! I too have a big dumb dog. She is cute, fluffy, and the nicest animal I have ever met. But... She's really not blessed with great intellegence.
This is how she sits on the sofa:
Her head is doorknob level if that gives you an idea.

awwwww
I'm worried a big, dumb dog would attack our small, cute cat though. There's a black labrador that comes up and fits that description that does.

Thanks PP - he's pretty damn cute. That was when we first got him, so he was a bit smaller - only 72 lbs, as opposed to his current robust 89 - 90-ish. He's almost a pony.
Funny thing - we originally went out to the shelters looking for a medium-sized dog, maybe something between 30 and 50 lbs max... but when we came to him, he sat down, put his paw through the bars to shake hands, and gave us that very look... and we were done for. Apparently the previous owners had lived in an apartment, gotten him as a wee little puppy, and looked on in horror as he grew Gigantor-style into a big clumsy dope. Lucky for him, we're total pushovers, and all plans for smaller dogs went right out the window...

Whoa! Elwood is huge! He looks sweet...
I have a friend with a 160 lb Malamute who is "still filling out." That's almost too much dog for me.
A St. Bernard has always been tempting, though. Super sweet, and from what I understand, they only have about an hour's worth of energy per day - exercise 'em once, and you're good for another 23 hours. Caesar, that shot of your St. B. on the sofa cracks me up.
Oh, and Pirate - you've gotta get pix of your pup up here. Bloodhounds and Basset Hounds are two of my favorite dogs - I can only imagine the cute drooliness of a Bloodhound/basset combo...
Rose - we have two cats, and my dog is mostly terrified of them. Every now and then he'll get curious, but they put him right back in his place. The only thing that scares him more than cats is tiny dogs (Chihuahua-sized), because he can't figure out what they heck they are.
