Shit, they're worth $2000 now? Gah, I'm really kicking myself for not buying the two of them that popped up on my local Craigslist for $800 each a couple of years ago.

Yeah that's crazy pricing.
I certainly don't earn enough to justify $2k being the new $800.
So the next logical question is obviously, who makes a good quality knock off?

It annoys me how expensive RD's have gotten. Only because I bought mine for 1000 bucks which then got stolen in a break in and now I can't justify one for the price. I mean if I'm gonna buy a guitar that is worth that much money, I would just buy something like an EGC. I mean the RD is my favorite shape but the moog electronics was garbage and the standard was a pretty simple and heavy as fuck guitar.

It's a rad shape.
I hear you on the price point. As cool as it is there are a lot more cooler options for that money.

Im kinda dumbfounded at the lack of decent RD knockoffs. Ive always wondered why the japanese knockoff experts totally ignore the funky gibsons....
ANYWAY eastwood makes one. Its $700. I wouldn't pay that for an eastwood but hey if you want an rd bad enough...this is pretty much it unless the chinese are faking them or you want to buy the real thing.

That headstock is anemic and is it just me or did they deliberately offset the neck too close to the curves on the top side?
Looks not quite right.
Killer colour scheme, though.

Yeah the headstock looks like a penis head with foreskin. I hate it. Also eastwards are pretty much garbage. So fuck this thing.

To be honest dude...im really eyeing one of these ESP stream series to scratch my RD itch. Ive played a couple of gibsons and honestly for the price they're asking they can forget it. Also me buying a $5000 custom shop last year that had paint overspray on the fretboard didn't much help.....
...But anyway i had a chance to play one of the E-II models and i was blown away. Everything is in the right spot, is comfortable, and plays phenomenally. Also you can score them on guitar center used for around a grand..... And honestly if everyone would stop being such a vintage snob i think we can all admit these look just as sick as an rd...

Maybe stolen???? The pics look legit.... even if its a fake $250 is a decent deal if it plays. I say czech it out but bring a handgun and/or a friend???
