So I've been looking for a new vibrato pedal and I'm looking for suggestions. Id prefer straight up vibrato, but a chorus that goes fully went would work also. I really liked the sound of the Julia but I thought it was a little to subtle. So, any suggestions?

the cosmichorus goes fully wet and does a real nice soupy kinda vibrato, super good pedal
also if it's anything like the original that Boss VB-2w would be a good bet. clean sound, wide pitch range, momentary etc
both kinda expensive though

I have tried a few vibrato pedals throughout the years.

Awesome: BOSS VB-2 (I think the VB-2w might be the best choice nowadays)
Good: Hotone ROTO (a bit subtle, but very nice sounding)
Okay: Seppuku Mind Warp, BOSS CE-3 (both are better when used as chorus)
Crazy: Seppuku Tape Warp (way too much depth and speed)
Meh: Rocktron Vertigo Vibe (sounds very artificial in a bad way), Marshall VT-1 Vibratrem (too subtle)

Very happy with my Behringer UV300.

Which is basically a direct clone of the BOSS VB-2.

I most use my Romferd for vibrato sounds. It is the most intuitive and tasty sounding modulation pedal I've used, but that is admittedly from a small sample group.

There's a TC electronic shaker vibrato on my local Craigslist for 60, anyone tried it?

I had a Shaker. I thought it was pretty good. Definitely worth the $60 to try it.

It can do normal vibrato sounds and can get pretty wild with some of the TonePrints. I liked it for some faux Leslie type sounds.

One of the main things I didn't like about it was that the tone control still effected the straight signal while in latching mode. So, if you wanted your straight tone uneffected, but wanted a dark vibrato for example, it couldn't do that.

Maybe the zvex lofi junky would qualify? Has a mix between the vibrato signal and a compressor signal, all the way to vibrato is just shifting pitch, in the middle is a chorus and all the way to compression is just compression and no pitch shifting.

Actually had the instant lo-fi, hated it. I'll probably pick up the shaker though.

I prefer to use a flanger for these types of applications, though it may sound too metallic if you're looking for something more in vib/chorus territory. The vibrato effect on the vintage Vib-Flange version of the Electro~Harmonix Clone theory has probably been my favorite straight up vibrato effect to date. Univibe-style modulation can be loads of seasick fun, too, but tends to veer more into phaser land.

The BYOC vibrato has a Ramping mode which is super cool IMO.

I really enjoyed the VB-2 I played, I am sure a clone of that would be sweet. I want my vibrato to give a weird recording onto cassette tape sort of feel so I use a pitch pirate.
