Cheap dirt for drum machines and synths

Kind of spinning of the budget pedals thread, I'm wondering what cheaper dirt pedals work well with drum machines and synths? I got a cheap Metal zone I did some mods too and it's great on bass and synth. Haven't tried it on drums yet.

Pretty much everything that makes a distortion pedal 'bad' for guitar will make it great for a synth or a drum machine.

Not a dirt pedal(and not cheap) but I love running drum machines through the preamp on a Moogerfooger and maxing the drive knob.

Seems like a circuit-bent ds-1 would be a good cheap option?

This.
Also look for bass friendly pedals. The main thing you tend to lose running synths through guitar focused pedals is the low end, since guitar tone tends to be focused in that 500-15k Hz range that most guitar speakers output.

Dod death metal, corrosion, etc. Any of the more bass heavy / full-range sounding Dod stuff. Even if it sounds muddy on guitar it will usually be fine. Arguably better.
Also using a shitty graphic eq pedal with really extreme settings into any dirt pedal will do cool stuff!

+1
effects in general are entirely different for drum machines IMO.

Filthy, cheap, and with some sort of eq (always a huge plus for
use w/ synths/drummachines imo):
Boss: ODB-3, FZ-2, or any if their HM/MZ/MT/whatever high gain peds. Same goes for the similar digitech/dod pedlols...
Also: The Behringer FZ-2 clone is supposedly good too, and it should be a lot cheaper too.
And also almost forgot to mension one of my favorite disgusting soundibg cheapos: fabtone!

Discovery of the year for me so far.
I had the ODB3 laying on my desk and I was playing my Alpha Juno... then I thought "why not" and after that I was like WTF, DUDE! Now I want to make a shitty lo-fi black metal album with synth only, no drums, no guitar.
