I don't know if it already exists but it shouldn't be too hard to recreate. It's a one band parametric EQ with a 500Hz to 5kHz range and a Q control.

There is (or was?) the Behringer SE200 Spectrum Enhancer. The pedals of that series have overall quite the same sound as the original BOSS units. I think it's worth trying out the Behringer. I have heard that the SP-1 isn't such a useful tool. It's only some kind of a semi-parametric EQ.

Tokai Exciter? No volume boost though and that may have some slight compression (I think it is a great little pedal though).

yeah, i know it's a minimal parametric EQ but they're crazy priced on ebay & reverb. probably just because of vintage status, but i'm curious.

There was a line of Roland amps which were only available in Japan that had a built-in Spectrum circuit. Good luck finding one of those.

I should've picked the one up I saw...it was blue I think. And like $200 or less. Talked myself out of it (like a year ago).

Yeah, you rarely see 'em over here. I don't know how they sound, but I'd like to find out...

I did a bit of reading on them and they are supposed to be lower watt jazz chorus sounding except with the spectrum. Not sure though.
Should've of just picked it up haha. I want to say it was like 35w head or something...I don't really remember.

Yeah, I don't think any of the models were over 40w. I can't remember if they were tube or solid state either.

Honestly a pedal like this with some colorful gain staging would be super useful for me.

This one is great. I sold it, though, because I also have a BOSS PQ-4.
