Invoking the ghost of casecandy: The Be(a)st of 2016

Holy shit it's almost August. That means we've had eight months of albums being released in 2016, and because I am still terrible at staying on top of new music I have heard very little of it. So what have been your favorites so far?
I liked Bowie's Black Star, but have only listened to it once. Liked the pink Body record (haven't listened to the Full of Hell Collab yet) and the new Vektor, but they didn't really stick. Likewise with the new Gorguts, even though I remember it being killer. New Sumac sounded great live but I haven't sat down with the record yet.
Still haven't listened to the new Radiohead. Or the new Mogwai. Or the new Gojira. Or the new Big Business. Or the new Swans. Or the new Conan. Or the new Esperanza Spalding record, despite the fact that one of my old acquaintances just toured that record as a backup singer for her (which is rad because she is rad and has a great voice)... In fact the only reason I'm making this thread is that I got turned on to a teaser from the new Stargazer's Apprentice record, which is coming out in August, and that should be fucking awesome.

So my only contribution to this thread at this point is going to be the Mirrors for Psychic Warfare record (which is Sanford Parker and Scott Kelly)... which sounded a lot better live, and the Merzbow/Boris Gensho record. And probably the new Neurosis record when it comes out.
Anyway, help me be less clueless. What records from 2016 should I be listening to?

Also the Merzbow/Haino/Pandi collab. The new Prins Thomas was pretty cool. Need to get on the new Swans, Radiohead and Mogwai records.

I'm still banging the new Death Grips / Nothing like crazy. new Kayo Dot was pretty cool, seemed hella inspired by the new David Bowie album which was also fucking sick. the drum production on that is perfect to me. actually everything The Flenser has put out this year has been fire. All Your Sisters is sooo gooood and that fresh Wreck And Reference is drowning in textures. new Street Sects is coming out soon too

Important released that at the end of 2015, if I remember correctly, although it may not have started shipping until 2016.
Also I may not have remembered that correctly, especially since a lot of their stuff gets delayed, etc. The kickstarter etc. was definitely over by the end of 2015 though.

I don't understand how something can be released in 2015 but not shipped until 2016, but if it makes you feel better just listen to half of it.

That's because you buy everything from Amazon and are gleefully ignorant of the delays that plague independent record labels?
The box set is really something, though.

What I mean is I don't understand the terminology distinction between what released means and shipped means. To me, it sounds like they mean the same thing in this context which is when the product can first be consumed. But, I don't know industry jargon so I don't deny there may be an actual difference.
I just ordered 5 cds from Important Records. Supporting the little guy.

Since you hipped me to them, D.o.S., I feel obligated to mention the new Gozu.

Oh that is very rad, indeed.
So, glaring omission/memory slip number one! I forgot Oranssi Pazuzu's Värähtelijä came out this year, which was a real fuck up because it's completely astonishing. Like Cave or Oneida meets Gorgoroth at the summit of Finnish black metal.
(Made worse for me because I missed these dudes at Roadburn, too)

^I've just been discovering Oranssi Pazuzu this past week. Good shit right there!
I really enjoyed the new Sumac, The Body, Weekend Nachos, and Conan albums this year. Off the top of my head.
