Just out of curiousity, what effects have some of you used after you have a "song" down on recording, it's feeling just a little boring, and you want to give it some glitch or insanity?
I'm thinking my EHX Bi-Filter may be a good one...gonna try it out today.
Other suggestions?

generation loss/warped vinyl

I usually send my stuff through Audiomulch when I'm looking for an extra bit of oooomph in some way or another. mostly just granular and warble type of patches with some EQing

Was gonna link to that thread too. What i learned from it was dynamic/envelop responsive effects could be fun, bitcrushers could be fun, reverbs are hella obvious but still good, and Lord Galvar suggested ring mods, maybe? Stereo Generation Loss/The Tape/other kinda warbly pleasant filter-y effects are great too.

Yeah, I was gonna say "Wut? You don't like muh thread?"
Bi-Filter may be a good one.
I still think phaser is pretty classic though. Two phasers may be even better.

Run your entire mix through Stereo Particles, one side on reverse mode, one side on any other mode, into a Timebender that is doing pitch shifting multi taps. There you god. Bazingo.
Run your entire mix through two Boss DS-1s

Run your entire mix through an el capistan, and make it awesome. Might still be boring but It will sound pretty

Fan of everything mentioned...and I've said it elsewhere but bears repeating
MS-20 Korg filter/Frostwave Resonator
Flanger set shallow
Subtle plate reverb
Compressor/limiter with class-A makeup gainstage and input/output transformers
Inductor EQ
The more I play with audio, the greater my preference for hardware and how sound behaves in discrete electronics with
big iron matching impedances at old school audio levels. Everyone has fun when the rack game is tight. If the box uses XLR for the i/o and is designed for 600ohm loads then try running an entire mix through it...typically via aux mixer insert or master bus

Love doing this with the reverse on my digiverb and tweaking the knobs. You can get some crazy, kinda vocal sounding drones with it. Harmonic trem and a +1 on ring mods with really slow sweeps.

I have a recording, somewhere, of a really half assed improv techno song that was basically made semi-decent by running the entire mix in mono through a digiverb in reverse mode, and mixing that back in at like a 50/50 ratio with the dry mix.
