:D

It's kind of awful as I did it for a one hour allgear compo and spent half an hour trying to get line in to work.

That is some great fuzzy goodness. Awesome for a first ever tracking/mixing/etc.

I really like that semi cleanish sound that comes in at the end at 1:17

I just stop palm muting :P For some reason it sounded heavier when I palm muted. Weird. I would say that's a medium gain sound more or less it just has a real glassy feel to it.

I really like it!!!! :joy:

Want to expound on the recording process / gear / etc ?

I just used my Tele into an SM which had the AC30 Amplug stuck into it. I lined that in and did some basic drum/bass/violin sounds in Modplug tracker(this is why the timing is a bit off, very hard to get it right with OpenMPT). The Amplug is amazing and I'm amazed especially how well the SM works with it. It helps give it clarity without making it a trebley mess like I thought it might, still gets pretty bassy. The chords were done with the Amplug's own gain since fuzzes don't tend to work too well with palm muting and the SM would have scrambled the bigger chords.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the SM works with my Lunchbox when I get it as I think that has a similar level of clarity. The SM is so warm by itself that it doesn't really need a tube amp. You could nearly use it as a replacement for a bass too on lower intensities.

It was done for a music event thing in #monsquaz on espernet.

Absolutely. I imagine I'll have a better clip soon enough though. Half the reason I got the SM was for the DNGRLRRRR sound it makes with power chords and I didn't get around to putting any in that clip.

http://www.myspace.com/psychoplasm is about all I have at the moment. I might update that soon too.

1) Drums - Modplug Tracker
2) Bass, Violin, other stuff - Modplug Tracker
3) GuitarOne - Xaviere XV820 > Soda Meiser > Vox AC30 Amplug > Modplug Tracker
4) GuitarTwo - Xaviere XV820 > Soda Meiser > Vox AC30 Amplug > Modplug Tracker
5) GuitarThree - Xaviere XV820 > Vox AC30 Amplug > Modplug Tracker

I think "GuitarTwo" was using the bridge as opposed to the neck, unsure. Also I can't remember why the Solo has that underwater kind of effect, must have knocked down the tone knob on the Amplug, but apart from that it was the same settings as GuitarTwo.
