HOT GLUE vs. COLD GLUE

Hot glue would obviously typify that which comes in stick form to be used with a glue gun, however it is certainly possible by extension to include some epoxies (as they generate some heat by chemical reaction) or certain other glues such as hide glue which is heated for use.
Cold glue of course covers all else: Elmers glue, wood glue, cyanoacrylate ('super glue'), glue stick, rubber cement, etc.
Discuss!

I kind of prefer hot, because it feels like it would work better.
Which is kind of irrational, but clay turns into bricks if you heat it etc. so Hot is better.

I counted Super Glue as hot, because it does get hot while the chemical reaction is taking place.
So it's cold then hot so is it both?
