The Dead Weather are fronted by The Kill's Alison Mosshart, Jack White on drums and joined by The Raconteur's Jack Lawrence on bass and Queen of the Stone Age's Dean Fertita on guitar.

They'll be here next Monday and Tuesday with the Screaming Females.

I just listened to the album and I want to like it but it's just not sticking :idk: I think it will grow on me but who knows.

I will say the last song is brilliant:

I'm sorry, I love the white stripes, and I like the kills and QOTSA (don't really know the greenhornes) but this just isn't really doing it for me. My favorite part of that conan performance (other than watching White bash the drums) was drooling over the matching white gretsches. It's not bad, I'd just rather hear each member in their respective bands...

I'm pretty much in agreement with all of you. I like the one song, but not really feeling them. Not to sure if I could sit through an hour of them live.

IMHO the ONLY time Jack White EVER got it right was the Raconteurs first record.

i don't understand the buzz around the dude. I can appreciate what he does, but it never hit me the way it hits everyone else.

maybe i'm broken? :idk:

I think he's overhyped.. I mean, he's very good at what he does, but I never thought he was all that original. His earlier White Stripes stuff was cool, though.

Yeah I saw the white stripes open for The legendary pink dots in this tiny place above a bowling alley in detroit and I really liked them and there first album but after that it all just started to sound the same.

Personally I never got the raconteurs at all but I do enjoy me most White Stripes. I had a listen through this album on Facebook the other day where it was streaming for some reason or other I thought it was pretty cool. Not amazing, but certainly worth a listen or three
