Just had one of these pop up on the local CL, and just want to get some feedback on it. Is this similar to the VTM 60, or is it an entirely different beast? Looking for quick feedback to see if I want to jump on this!

While I don't have much good information on the actual amp, if it's $200 or less you can't go wrong!

Is that the three channel model? I played with a band that used one a million years ago and it sounded great.

Price is $275, which still seems decent. I believe it's only two channels though.

275$? I would get it in a heart beat. They don't go less than 500$ in Canada.

Great amp for that price. It's one channel though. Whoever thought they saw a three channel one is thinking of something different.

I think I'll probably go for it. Here's the deal, I'm currently running a Sovtek Mig 60. Other than the higher headroom, are these amps going to be sonically pretty close? Sorry if these are dumb questions.

I don't know that they'll be close but I think you'll be happy with it.

Positives (compared to the Sovtek)
-not made with a million shitty plastic components (like jacks, etc).
-despite not being made in russia would still survive the cold war -- would survive a flight down the basement stairs, hell, could survive nuclear fallout because peavy kvlt

it's hot rodded jcm territory. should be similarly voiced to the vtm 60. if you hate it you probably won't lose out. can probably make money on it in the right circles.

Yeah, if you've got the scratch and are curious enough then it's worth it because Peavey prices have been rising lately
You should at least be able to make back what you pay. If it's not for you just post it up for sale on the facebook Peavey Kvlt and someone will snatch it up from you.

I was starting to see more anti Peavey snobbery around here lately. Glad to see it didn't take hold. Or maybe it was just people trying to keep the prices down

get it! with those dip switches you should be able to get a sound you like.

It's an incredible amp for the price. Mine takes pedals well, sounds pretty good clean and has a lot of great dirt options. I usually crank the clean channel and hit it with a muff with mids. I would buy a second one for $275. You should go for it!
