Is there a term for this particular setting? It feels to me like there should be. Or maybe I'm just spazzing. Like the first setting in this digidelay demo.

I don't know but it's my favorite delay setting. Especially with multi head delays

yeah, there's definitely some spaghetti to it. I dunno. I don't even have a delay on my board right now, but I'm thinking about getting another one and I noticed that it's a setting that a lot of delay demos skip, in favor of demonstrating the ambient capabilities or the slapback. Was thinking that if I was going to get a delay, I'd like to evaluate how different pedals stack up in this regard. Probably have to get off my ass and get to a guitar store maybe.

It's how I usually keep my No Memory, it's like slapback for noiseheads.

little bit of a side-track, since as far as i can tell, the demo doesn't address the original question, but GOD-DAMN.

There's only about 50 in the wild right now, but don't go hunting for one, just wait for version 2 to come out.

I like the de7 for this. You can crank the repeats and it won't get out of control like most.

It's just high repeat/feedback.

ibanez DML10 does this amazingly. sits super clear in a mix and you can modulate the hell out of it if you want.

The Boss Space Echo (RE-20) does this stupid well for relatively cheapish.
