Want ~$400 tube amp with durty cleans for small gigs

Long time lurker, first time poster..

Looking for an amp that can be quiet enough to sound pretty decent for my tiny apartment, but still have enough power to sound good at the shitty places I play (small practice spaces with a loud drummer / house or basement shows).

Currently have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III that I feel more and more "meh" about every day.

I think the ideal sound I am going for is somewhere along the lines of the crunchy/almost clean guitar from the s/t joyce manor album... https://joycemanor.bandcamp.com/album/joyce-manor see: beach community, I play mostly my own stuff, blah indie rock, some tinkly shit, like those slightly dirty chimey cleans

Played and really liked the Marshall DSL 15 for cleans, the other channel seemed a bit too high gain.. was also looking at the Marshall Haze but can't try those out only get to watch blues dads on youtube.

Anyone have input on these? Better suggestions? Budget is around $400-$450, used is assumed.

Thanks

Personally I've been looking at a classic 30 (slightly lower budget) and they seem solid for this stuff I guess

Also, welcome

pick up the carvin x100b in the bst ;) clean channel plays awesome with pedals and the dirty side can get pretty gainy but not balls to the wall style, also graphic eq HNNNG

Just use the right pedals with the HRD.

Dude from Joyce Manor literally used a HRD on those records. Turn up more/buy a RAT/mini

Can also attenuate the HRD, the Weber Mini-Mass works pretty damn well with mine.

I came to suggest an HRD or Blues Deluxe, then i saw that he already had one.

@Raccoondad, the first post didn't mention the use of any pedals. the HRD probably wouldn't get you the sound that you're looking for by itself (overall, people seem to hate the drive and more drive channels), but with the right pedals it could be exactly what you're looking for.

I'm currently using a Blues Deluxe and various pedals for a similar sound.

Thanks everybody, guess I'm a dingus. Any particular pedal recommendations?

Also kinda gassing for those Marshall cleans regardless of reality and still wondering if anyone has any experience with the DSL or Haze..

It'll probably be slightly too small and quiet, but I love my Vox AC4-C1 which I modded with a Celestion G10. Depends on if you can mic it.

What about the new Vox AC10c1?

Go for a Marshall in a box pedal if that's what you're gunning for in terms of drive.

Run the HRD clean, step on faux Marshall to get that sound.

The rest, well, I don't know the band you're referencing so no idea.
