I've seen these guys play a few times over the past few years, and they get better every time. This album feels like they've finally found their footing for realz. YMMV as always.

Man I really liked where that intro was going but then ELDER COVERING DEAD MEADOW happened.
I still dig this but I feel like they could be a lot more exploratory?
edit: that second track is a fucking ripper, though.
If you like this you will probs dig Pontiak?

Ha ha ha - Elder covering Dead Meadow sounds ok to me... and I'm pretty sure the first time I saw Soon, they were on a bill with Pontiak. Who I also dug.

Nice desert vibes on this one. The second song sounds refreshingly 90s. I like it.

I think that I'm okay with this description. To be honest, though, the only Dead Meadow record I spent time with was the first one so I can understand the description as far as that takes me. In any event, this is enjoyable so far.

Not to derail too heavily but you really ought to check out Shivering Kings.

I'm mostly digging this, but the vocals seem to fit strange. Maybe it's just that 90s vibe Space was talking about. I bet with a little more time it'll grow on me.
edit: definitely growing on me.

That was how I felt the first time I heard 'em as well. Now it totally works for me as well.
