So how do you guys want me to do this? I can tease with photos, or I can list out the parts that I bought/am grabbing or I can just start throwing photos up. Gotta keep it fun

So I ended up finding a warmoth neck second hand, roasted maple strat neck with stainless frets and Sperzels, shipped for less than the neck would by itself would have cost new. So, no more wenge but I still think it will be rad.
Body should be here before the end of the week, going to try to stain and sand hopefully

Got the body and the neck today. Got the body all sanded down and smooth and started staining. One coat of grey Minwax and then wiped. I think I'll leave it like this. Going to poly tomorrow

Let the body sit overnight and gave the stain a chance to dry. Blocked off the cavities and sprayed the first layer of poly this morning. Going to let it set for an hour and spray the second coat. I'll repeat two more times for a total of 4 coats. I'll let it dry into the afternoon, do a light sanding, and spray another 1-2 coats

Let the body dry about 26 hours, did a light sanding about 14 hours in and the guitar is smooth. I don't think I'll be doing another spray of the poly, it seems good as is. Was definitely easier than rubbing it in by hand. Going to let the body continue to cure this week while I am away with work. Did a test fit of the neck that I scored off of Reverb for it, and I love it
