Fixed filter pedals?

Hey.

I wanna put a filter sweep pedal in the effects loop of my Super Ego, but I wanna be able to completely control the sweep by hand. Like a wah, but with a knob, and with maybe other cool stuff? Is there anything neat out there that I should/could get?

DBA/glass hero sound saw. Basic Audio Peak Freq. EHX DEM. Fullton GT500 has a wah inductor for mid eq. A paramteric EQ could work too. Polivoks filter is another one too (I think the cheap one is made by a guy under the name formanta/elta on eBay). Moog mf101, koma, dreadbox, mutron clones (if in constant signal will get rid of the attack) are more options.

Just some suggestions.

So...this bitquest thing...it's not a very popular pedal amongst ILF'ers is it?

Had it, flipped it. I don't really jive with multifx, even though every single setting on it is awesome, I couldn't handle it. Ryan Scientist is also the nicest person selling stuff. all categories.

EHX bad stone? Cheap and cheerful.

Do you want it to sound like you are sweeping a filter on a synth? Because the Death By Audio KKF wont really sound like that, and half of the Sound Saw is the KKF so.

If you really want it to be wah like, look into the Q zone mentioned above, or the Wilson fixed wah, Keely fixed wah, EXH cockfight, etc. A manual phaser like the Bad Stone might work for you as well.

If you just wanted to go bananas with this, the EHX bi-filter allows you to set the envelope and LFO of both its filters to zero, giving you TWO static filters. It then lets you select the frequency range, and then set the center frequency within that range for each of the two filters, and set either of them to HP, BP, or LP independently, then sweep them with sliders...then run both filters in parallel, series, or in/out of phase with one another, or fade between the two filters using sliders. Might be something to consider. But it's not like I'm a fanboy or anything...

Haha...and the size of that particular "pedal" would imply that I'm a serious size queen!
