New song isn't as good as the old stuff but I dig it

They're pretty rad, I played with them a couple of years ago and it was cool. They were way better on the first album/adventures split though

The first album Feast Of Love is the best one... totally fuzzed out

This new song is okay but a little "produced"

Live, they're awesome, combining pop-punk and shoegaze was a great idea... this new song just sort of sounds like '90s rock

The singer used to live in Grand Rapids. She had a dog. We had some mutual friends. She threw some cool house shows sometimes. Always happy when good people do cool things.

I never got into Pity Sex but I like looking at pictures of their guitars because offset love, ya know.

Do you guys ever get the feeling that 100% of this nugaze stuff is just the same shit that got them nowhere at open mic night but now with fuzz pedals?

I watched an interview with these guys where the girl talked about some dude coming onstage and trying to kiss here and how she was all traumatized and it was a bad experience and i was just like fuck dude get over yourself. I remember blood brothers shows where people got trampled under the bumrush of dudes trying to get on stage to grab johnnys cock area. Also i was one of those dudes.

I wish Past Lives kept making music because they were SO GOOD.


Pity Sex has gotten worse with every release but I'll still check out the new stuff at least once. Probably see then live when I'm there to see someone else (has happened twice) and not hate it.
