I love the concept and I've been into the kinda mutant disco and post-punk for a while, but looking for something more modern I guess. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, I really didn't mean to typify. Really just dancing and punking (

) combined is just a cool concept to me.
On another note !!! is unsearchable on google.

I'm pretty sure Death From Above 1979 falls into that category.
You're A Woman, I'm A Machine is one of my favorite albums ever.
Also, Does It Offend You, Yeah?.
I've yet to figure out what makes a band "Dance Punk", but Wikipedia seems to classify it as any dancy rock band...

Goes without saying.
Anyone heard of ESG? That to me is the definitive dance punk. With emphasis on the dance. I stronnnnnngly recommend finding Come Away with ESG. 1983 minimalist post-punk, straight from the bronx, goodness.
And there's also Buy by James Chance and the Contortions, which is a mix between 80s no wave and James Brown. Like a stark mix. Fucking incredible.

Death From Above 1979! Might I suggest Pull Out?
Other than that people listed some pretty good ones, Foals is more math than punk but still

. I love dance punk but only if it's got a twist to it. Here are some of my favorites:
(newer) Bloc Party (crunk/experimental twist):

The Rapture (house twist)
