I always get confused with these old maxons and ibanez peds, they have a zillion different looking muffy sounding dirt peds that supposedly all sound slightly different. And than there's a couple newer reissues, which obviously don't have the mojo of any of the new ones

I guess I'll just wait and find out how it sounds when I get it. Don't have too much remorse, except that I probably payed more than what a nice booteek muff with a couple extra tweeks and controls would've cost me :s

Other duders will know more than I, but I'm almost certain this is not quite a muff.
Ibanez/Maxon have a weird history in the 70s and 80s of doing shit that was either almost there or was not that thing at all. Balls out weirdness.
I can't remember which of those this is.
It's a fuzz though, but from memory I don't think it's technically a muff variant.

According to kitrae, yes, you bought a muff.

The D&S II is the weird overdrive one. the "Sustain t" version is a Big Muff (not sure what kind).

It has a different tonestack.

Its a muff. I got OG tall font, 2 civil wars, a black muff, bass big muff, and that above D&S. It's up there with the best of them. And more durable!

Nice score! Love the old D&S. Actually prefer these over a standard Muff. These tend to stand out in a mix a bit better.
