Not sure we have a thread like this. If we do, we have another.

Please, post interviews or whatever with your favorite musicians. I'm interested.

Nice, UG, thanks. I'm kinda surprised the Keiji Haino wasn't your first post in this thread.

yeah a buddy pointed me towards that david rawlings interview the other day so it was the first thing on my mind. im a big fan of his music and love the sounds he gets out that old epiphone he always plays. neat to hear him talking about how he found that guitar too.

Yeah, he's a great guitarist, it's a great sounding guitar and that's definitely a crazy story.
As an aside, this may be my favorite version of "I'll Fly Away":

I'd post the interview of Robert Night Hawk which's inlcuded as a bonus disc from that box set, but it's not a very informative interview.

I don't think Night Hawk was the friendliest guy to begin with and apparently they had to rerecord the interview because the first take was inaudible. So, he was probably doubly annoyed. He is, without a doubt, one of my favorite slide players though.

If you haven't seen any of the Liner Note Legends series, you should give 'em a spin:
