So i got a kalleidoloop and begenning to record everything like beats in the kitchen and whatnot. Like water droplets too which os amazing to slow down and put onto reverse. I want to start making beats on a beatpad and dont know where to begin. Ive just been a simple guitat player with a couple delay pedals. What is a simple beat pad thing i can put a water drop and other sounds to make it into a beat and manipulate it. I like it simple. Ive bought complicated things before and it doesnt make since to my brain. Think Atoms for peace type looping beats from kitchen utensils.

I've done this the long way round before recording myself hitting a bunch of pots and pans and putting together the bits in a daw (ok so not the reeeeaaally long way round with tape but seriously who has the time) to make beats. It sounded awesome with a bit crusher but it was too much effort for me to be bothered to do that way again.

TL;DR I also really want to know about physical beat pad samply things

I do this a lot with my ipad. Or if I'm feeling creepy I load up samplr and record a snipped of some fratbro/gal's conversation and make it into weird noise which I then move to Egoist to turn to beats, or weirder noises!
