With the dollar as it is, I can't imagine it's too much of a savings for Canadians. But it looks cool!

More and more sites are encouraging buyer-negotiated offers. It's a simple way for dealers to get around list price restrictions and to increase sales. Here's a few places to check out, if you haven't already.

You can pretty much always get 10% off at Musicians Friend for any item over $99. Just call and ask. I even got 20% off the pre order Moog Sub 37 due my silver tongue (and because they messed up a few previous orders). You can usually negotiate deals at Sweetwater too. Don't be shy folks. Just ask.
Oh, you can negotiate mattresses too if you need a new one.

Sweetwater has made deals whenever I've asked and sometimes even when I didn't.

The Mattress thing is very very true,
When I worked in Mattress sales we were authorized to cut of 10% just if someone asked
and could go deeper to lock down sales
I sometimes very much regret not bartering more when I buy things

I feel so weird bartering though for new items. I've heard a lot of stories about Perfect Circuit Audio being absolutely awesome about this (and I think a couple about Detroit Modular as well but don't quote me on it), but yea it's a strange feeling and I don't know how to go about it.

I mean if Perfect Circuit can make this modular crack rock a little cheaper I might have to stop being awkward about it.

I got like 30% on two new pedals from Perfect Circuit just by asking. Not very expensive ones either. Great company to deal with.
