Looking for a guitar with a thin neck for a grind band I joined, tried out my Strat but I need something thinner. Would prefer something in the $400 range (used or new) Would prefer something with NO trem (floyd rose, etc.). Maybe something with a TOM bridge, I dunno. If you have any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Used 80s kramers are sick but kinda hard to find without a floyd. Probably jackson or ltd is your best bet. Old japanese jacksons were REALLY nice in alot of cases. i dunno if id fuck with an ibanez in your price range. Low end ibanez have always been pieces of shit....ALTHOUGH.....dude im pretty sure you can find an old japanese bolt on iceman sub 400 bucks. I think theres actually one on the guitar center used right now. Thats it dude. Iceman. Do iiiiiit.

You could get a nice new neck to your spec for half that. Just an alternative thought :-)

Space is correct, you'll get an IC350 with a Floud for sub $400 and that neck FUCKING CANES.
Seriously, it's pretty much wizard profile, nice chunky frets (but not too awful).
Change the pups to cheap duncans, get a good set up, grind.
Failing that I imagine these days you'll find some decent older RGs for that money.

Both of those are fucking rad.
For the record, the only guitar I have left is an IC400 as in the first ad.
I will probably be buried/cremated with it.
If my kids don't want it.

Look for an older ESP LTD MH400NT, fits your criteria, neck thru design and typically can be found in the $300-$400 range. Can also confirm that the neck is thinner than the IC400 as I've owned both axes at one point.

LMAO, I liked my IC400, but was bummed about my headstock snapping so easily, same with the RG series. I'm a bigger fan of the early Ibanez Roadstars w/ the Super 6 pups.

The old Korean LTD's are solid shredders, I've been beating the fuck out of two of them for sometime now.

Yeah the ic400 hasn't got the thinnest neck ever but it's still pretty quick.
The 350 is very different, though.
400 is more like skinny jap les paul.

honestly though brandon isn't wrong. The cheap esp guitars are pretty much the backbone of the extreme music community. They can be found cheap, play well, sound great, and don't look too ridiculous.

That being said, know that if you're playing a grind show, probably most of the bands on the roster are going to be playing ESP
