I tried. Ive been to the shows, ive bought the records. I wanted to like it. They have the formula right but the result is pretty godawful. Dude fumbles around like a cop with a gun. Uninspiring music from the uninspired. Thank god for lust for youth.

I mean this in and of itself is not a turnoff for me in other bands but its like CC is purposefully or through just sheer unoriginality exploring the stylistic guidelines so rigidly its almost like an audio recording of somebody reading an engineering textbook. I dunno man.... i was a giant fan of some girls and das oath throughout their careers but I kind of agree with their breakups. The crowds on their last tours didnt really help things either. I love das oath and some girls and daughters and these arms are snakes but I think as brilliant as those bands were they were products of their times.

You have a good point. Daughters and Some Girls will always be my highschool times and remind me of so many things.

Interesting because I go back and listen to those records now and still really enjoy them a lot. That being said, I totally see your point about Das Oath, Some Girls and Daughters. It wasn't that they were a flash in the pan, it's just that they were popular within their sonic niche and then that sonic niche sort of went away. Same is largely true for a band like the Blood Brothers.

I think I could categorize These Arms as Snakes as on the bubble of that niche market because they could occasionally ride that line of post metal-ish stuff. It's tough to say. Enjoy all those bands.

Ultimately...

should have kept American Nightmare together.

I remember there at the end on the HELL SONGS tour, there were maybe three of us there that had actually bought the album and were singing along, and a group of maybe 20 whitebelts at the back of the venue sitting around on couches. They would heckle the band in between songs screaming PLAY FUR BEACH and lex would be like WE ALREADY PLAYED FUR BEACH and at one point some girl yelled WHY DONT YOU PLAY GRINDCORE ANYMORE and nick had just finished his beer and said WHY DONT YOU SUCK MY DICK and pegged her in the face with the bottle.

Cold Cave is the moniker for the music of Wesley Eisold based in Los Angeles and New York City whose music is described as a "collage of darkwave, noise, and synthpop"

Oh totally those are some of my favorite bands ever. I was in bands that were just like them, Mark mccoy was my idle and still is....i just dont know if that shit could still happen... like if holy molar came back could they still get away with that shit??? Shit maybe they could......maybe it would be even better now to see him grab some bitches phone and just launch that shit....
