Where do you buy your tubes?
I have to replace a couple of power amp tubes and I don't really know what I'm doing.

I've personally had good luck with dougstubes.com. I have all heard good things of Eurotubes.

I've had good experience with both eurotubes (new stock is limited to JJ, though he has some NOS... the latter might just have been a shopping in person benefit) & tubesandmore.com (Antique Electronic Supply).

Musician's Friend. I pretty much only use JJ's and those are everywhere.

Yea, I've used AES or the big guys to get mine, but I'm not looking for exotics - I only buy stupid clean at any volume 6L6s and similar AX7s.

Tubedepot. I think I've used Tubesandmore in the past. Both those places for tubes and filter caps.

TubeDepot.
Dunno why people like Eurotubes. If you get a bad set they usually leave you high and dry.

I just bought a set from dougstubes. I'll let you know how that works out but price was good and he's had rave reviews online.

Best selection of NOS tubes and great dealings with Brent Jesse at audiotubes.com. Highly recommend checking out his website for loads of info on various tube types and pretty spot on subjective details on what to expect from different manufactures. He sells choice rare $$$ tubes but also has huge selection of rebranded tubes at major discount...so you can get the EXACT same tube but with different name printed on it, really the best smart move unless you HAVE to have the manufactures name on the tube.

I've bought from Watford Valves & Dougstubes and been happy with both.
Valvequeen is excellent too, and Laura is good people.

used Dougs tubes and I think "the tube store?" Something like that. Also if you need vintage tubes, ask around here. I got lots of stuff last time I needed some tubes.
