Bands/artists who loop creatively?

I've been getting into the more creative side of looping. Not so much building up walls of one-man-band, but repeating patterns and drones, background kind of stuff in the key of the song. I have a RC20XL, going straight from overdub to reverse playback yields some interesting results. Might pick up a Ditto x2 to add 1/2 speed to the mix.
I've heard Nels Cline do this sort of thing with an EHX 16 second delay. Who are some other artists using looping as something other than the one-man-band thing? I'd love to hear some more expiramental looping!

Minus the Bear absolutely nails creative looping. Menos El Oso is just DL4 domination.
Adebisi Shank does some gnar looping as well.
Battles, obv.
Animal Collective sorta does that? But they trigger loops. Someone will kill me for outing myself as a Williamsburg hipster wannabe.

Warren Ellis (Bad Seeds/Grinderman/Dirty Three) uses alot of loops. Not so much live-looping, but makes cool loops wich he triggers live.

russian circles is absurdly impressive with looping live too.

Yaaasssss.
Chelsea Wolfe also does some incredible sounding vocal looping live, or at least she did when I saw her a few years ago.

Mylets does a lot of really crazy looping and stuff, although a lot of friends (myself included) really can't get into his actual music. I respect what he does though.
