Relay Switches

I want to build a true bypass box that can be switched with a separate footswitch.
I'm... guessing a relay is what I'm looking for.
Anyone know how to do that? Or have much info on how to wire up a relay switch?
Any help would be neato.

I don't understand. You want to bypass yer bypass? Or do you want one footswitch to cycle through the loops?

I want the footswitch to be away from the loops.
Example: The looper box can be under the pedalboard (if you have a Pedaltrain or something), and just have a small footswitch to do activate the loop(s).
I think I'll just make custom cables with 3.5mm jacks to make a smaller looper pedal. Still, relays are cool...

It seems like the relay system would be difficult to engage on the fly, unless you use something other than a stomp switch. My little mind is stuck in the conventional.
Have you seen the one I made?
It saves me from a lot of tap dancing
Watchout for shielding in yer 3.5mm jacks. I think they end up being prone to interference.

Hmm. That box is lovely.
I don't wanna avoid tap dancing as much as... avoid buffers.

I did think, how about a bunch of 3pole double pole relays and a rotary switch inside a wah or expression pedal housing. You could rock it back and forth through the loops.
Probably a lot cooler sounding on paper than in practice.

It definitly helps with that.
It also helps with avoiding interference.

that rotary would need to be really resistant so youre not going from position 1 to pos 8 and missing everything in the middle, ya know?
its a really cool idea, i kinda want one
