I'm psyched too. Still pissed I missed the last tour with the insane visual setup. Kick myself every time I watch the shit on YouTube.

As long as it doesn't sound like another HTDA album like Hesitation Marks did I'm good; I like HTDA, but having Hesistation Marks sounds too much like it took away from it being a NIN album, you know?

I've never really thought about Hesitation Marks sounding like HTDA, but you're right it kind of does. And I get why you think that kind of takes away from it being a NIN album. I'm really just stoked on anything they release, though. And I hope they tour again soon. Last tour was so good

I really need to see them, I still haven't. One day it's gonna be too late.

Happened to me with Strapping Young Lad: had tickets to Ozzfest just to see them and ended up not going for some stupid reason (forget what I was), it ended up being their last tour iirc.

I thought the same thing as I was typing it

I did a something similar with These Arms Are Snakes and I'm still kicking myself. I can't let it happen again, especially with NIN.

Nah, it's on average only a few years between final NIN tours. You' should be able to catch one of them.

I'm excited but I have to say I'm a little disappointed in Reznor being a hypocrite about the music and touring. He has said multiple times that NIN is done and that he's no longer making music under them or touring. Then he throws that out the window and does it again. The last time I was them, I was so fucking disappointed, I thought I was at a Tool show. ;) Seriously it was bad. IMO he needs to focus on other shit. Like How to Destroy Angels. Or make a new band. Dude has mega talent. But the whole NIN thing needs to die at some point. Makes me sad saying that because they are like one of my all time favorite bands.

So glad I saw TAAS when I did. Opening for the Blood Brothers in a tiny venue, and again with Minus the Bear in the same venue a few years later. :excellent:

If I've learned anything from NIN, it's that quitting heroin is bad for creativity.

1) shit thing to say, 2) dude has had way more creative onput ever since he got clean. Most of it has been within a similar range of sound/aesthetic compared to past releases, but those were all 5 years apart.

Not liking someone's creative output doesn't mean they're bad at being creative. & this is a bit of a serious reply to what I was assuming was a cheeky post, but the point still stands.

Kind of factual though b/c TRez post drugs has just kind of been not so good.

Yeah, sorry. Bad joke. I just feel like every album up until The Fragile was pretty much revolutionary, and every album since has been re-hashing the same ideas. I really want to be excited about new NIN. I remember how good that feels. I just can't help but expect With Teeth 5 now. I hope I'm wrong.
