Orange Striped Randalls Thread

I want to know more about orange striped randalls and know a few guys on here have them. I can't seem to find a whole lot of info on any of them really.
I found a pretty nice looking Randall Switchmaster 150 head on reverb that looks pretty interesting. I'm not exactly sure if it fits into the orange stripe category, but it does have an orange outline around it! That counts, right? There's literally one video of one on youtube of a dude playing some generic rock riffs out of one. The overdrive sounded pretty nice. On the back it says 120w RMS at 4 ohms, but to the left on the back it says 200w??? And it's called the 150???? What am I supposed to believe? I would assume this thing would still be pretty damn loud with 120w of solid state power, but I don't know.
I've played old Peavey SS stuff and enjoyed it, so maybe I'd enjoy old Randall stuff. I was thinking of grabbing a cheap Peavey Century 200 bass head to use, but now I'm thinking of going for this Randall instead. I don't like a TON of gain, but I enjoy some good crunch. Especially weird ss crunch.
What's your experience been like with orange striped Randalls? Maybe we can get some solid info in this thread on other models, too.

Is this a standard tradition with amplifier companies? Like the infamous red knob knobbed fender amps. :???:

Have one and I think I wrecks ass. In a good way ofc. It's clean and loud. Mine is the rg90a (I think) but it's a 100watts. I don't ever use the gain on it so I can't say anything about that sadly

funny this connection
the commanders are SS clones of fenders of same era
the randall guy wanted fender to go SS line
no dice
ramdall is born
the wattage thing is funky
i have a chart ill upload
depending what ohm cab you use gives fifferent watts
the r-300, rg-300, rb-300 etc
330@2ohm
200@4ohm
120@8ohm
ive researched the shit ouuta. these things
ive owned 7 orange randalls in total
still own 5
play through 2 r-300 heads exclusively
my homey john has 2 switchmasters as well
sorry so late to this party
and MIA from ILF
but if theres one thing that is sucking me back in right now
its to load this thread with PICS, INFO, and DREAMS
all things i am bloated with when comes to old randall

Thank you for the update & wattage chart - I've been lurking but missed a few Commanders for super cheap, otherwise they've been in the $225 range before shipping as of late, which I suppose isn't that ridiculous anymore (shipping them, however, always is). I guess there isn't a wealth of information/nobody seems to care (doom room excluded, but they seem to like tubes). The Steelman looks even cooler
though I guess it's rarer as it was a sleeper even for lap guitarists - I can only imagine blaring that thing w/ its 15" speaker, sweet jeez. I have a Switchmaster somewhere on the premises that probably needs a tune-up (a leftover I forgot about until just now), 6-pin footswitch or not, but 4ohm cab will be a bit of chore in the land of 8ohm everywhere around me.

Aah, I have a local 4x10 commander combo up locally. They still are super cheap and such good amps. I'd love to try the 300 watt thing

This thread is rad.
That envelope generator looks awesome.
Is it a filter or a fuzz?
Or a filtered fuzz?

i bought a Commander II (i think) for the speakers as the seller didn't know if the amp worked or not. i ended up pulling the speakers and just giving the chassis and cabinet to a friend, kinda wish i got it fixed instead.
