Wisdoms probing: Guitar & amp buddies

I make the Knobs demos, and I often get asked what guitar and amp I use.
The answer is Danelectro and Fender, and that's never really sat right with me.
I would rather say "awesome person A" and "awesome builder B."
I would rather help a person than a big company.
So I'm on the hunt for genuine, passionate builders who could benefit from the exposure, and have prices the average person could entertain.
At least something of quality around the $1000 mark.
Anything come to mind?

Amps could be kinda hard to find on the cheap. Maaaybe, you could get like a DIY amp and have it built by "awesome person A"?

Nelson, Harvester, Bastin or Millimetric for guitars.
No clue about amps, but Science do get an awful lot of love around these parts.

There are the newer Supro amps and maybe a used Verellen Spaldo. They are on the tiny side though.
You could also try contacting someone like Ed Sanner or other amp builders and see what they could offer you. Maybe give Waltdogg a chance to mod or build something (trying to start an amp business right)?
I've seen people around with Quilter stuff, but I don't know anything about them (or how they are made) (and totally not my style).
I looked into Conrad, but that is way too pricey. I dunno.
Maybe just find a platform and get it modded so that way you could kinda have it on a budget and have it get that local support it needs?

Nelson would be a perfect guitar for you. The tone and aesthetic match your playing really well, I think it would be awesome. It's the guitar I imagine you playing.
For amps: Science. All day err day.

Wow Science amps have gone up a bit in price since I last looked at their site. Still think it's a good choice but it doesn't really hit the budget mark.

Nelson is above that price point too from what I've seen, but he's been talking about a streamlined model for around that price that I am slowly and tentatively pinching pennies for.

Yeah Nelson has a few cheaper models now,
and the guitars sound great
not sure on amps however,
harder to find small builder amps on a budget

Have 7K+ subscribers must mean something to an aspiring amp builder who wants to reach a wider audience, no?
