Potential Double Muff replacements

A few months ago my Double Muff broke. I absolutely loved it. I've since been using a few other pedals I've had around, and they sound good, but nothing takes me to that super fuzzy OD area the Double Muff was perfect at.
I've thought of trying to get it fixed or buying another one, but for whatever reason both the big and nano ones seem to be built for all sorts of problems. I don't want to get another one for the same problems to start coming up down the line.
Any other fans here that have found something similar in the same vein?

First, welcome to ILF!
I've always wanted to try a double muff. The standard answer for fuzzy OD here is probably SS/BS mini, I'd suggest checking that out. However, the double muff is a really simple build IIRC, maybe you can have it built and put in an awesome enclosure by one of our locals?

Yeah, smallsound/bigsound Mini was my first guess, too. Another option to consider is to have someone clone it for you, but add a third Muff Fuzz. The Double Muff is just two Muff Fuzz circuits in series, so you might as well add a third or fourth. Imagine the possibilities.

The true answer is Siamese Bluebeard.

My favoritist fuzzy ever is the old one knob Little Muff. Imagine a Muff Overdrive>Muff Fuzz>Double Muff>Little Muff!!!

Me and my friend have now discussed this, and we are going to make it happen. Four muff ODs and ending with a killkill filter. Gotta find a crazy big enclosure bc big boxes are awesome

Boner Jam!
In true ILF fashion, we went from a repair to a Mini to a crazy one off.

EHX charges around $35 for repairs, and usually have a pretty quick turnaround, but if it's a Nano, you might be better off just buying another one at their current price if you need it ASAP. For reliability's sake, you might want to do a custom build like everyone else has mentioned, or at least a rehouse if you have the skills so it'll last a little longer.
The original 1-knob/1-switch Little Big Muff absolutely kills, btw (try stacking two of those!).

I'd just go for two seperate different muff clones. The ability to put verb/delay/modulation in between and mess with chain placement beats any big ass double fuzz pedlol imo
I'm not even that into muffs anymore, but if I had to go with two different muffs...
Supercollider + Maxon D&S should be nice. Or Musket + Pharaoh. Hoof + Bluebeard.
Dont have a clue what a bluebeard sounds like, but I might want to try it one day if the opportunity comes up. Everyone and their mother seems to think its the shit

So how many muffs can I fit in a standard huge big muff? I'm imagining 3; 2 in the front, one in the back with a loop in the middle to add stuff between.

Hate to burst everyone's bubble but a double muff is basically half of a big muff.

Not sure how accurate that is. The muff fuzz is very much like a typical silicon fuzz face, with hard clipping diodes added to the output...so the double is, well two of those. Not set up like a big muff (or half of one) at all.
